I am planning to study in Finland from this summer to next spring. It will be for about 9 months and I guess there will be few Japanese around me and encounter enormous troubles or challenges everyday. For example, making new friends speaking only English, taking classes in English or live a life by myself.
I am so anxious and told my host mother about it, and she said "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." The words are so strong and somehow cheered me up. I think I will remember those words when I have troubles in Finland.
I admired your courage to study there. It will be very tough. And also, I was given a courage to challenge something from your blog. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you , I will make efforts to integrate to a new culture.
DeleteYou're amazing to plan such a thing.
ReplyDeleteYour host mother's words encouraged me so much, too.
I hope you'll have meaningful days in Finland.
Thank you, I have to prepare to make the most of my staying!
DeleteThat must be a great experience for you!!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to it!
DeleteI believe that it will surely help you learn English. I hope you will get valuable experience.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I am so excited and I cannot wait.
DeleteYou are brave. It is a true challenge. I think sometimes you feel lonely but I hope you will successfully make many friends, master a language and have fun in Finland.
ReplyDeleteYour host mother is very kind to cheer you up. I also feel like encouraged.
Yes, I would love to make new friends. I will do my best.
DeleteI respect you so much. It's hard challenge for you but it makes you strong than before. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am sure I will be stronger than now if I overcome the challenge.
DeleteHow interesting. Studying in Finland I'm sure will be a memorable experience. There will be things you see that will remain long etched into your mind, scenes of such breathtaking beauty, places of such solitude. The trip may be high risk, but it will certainly be high gain.
ReplyDeleteDavid :-)
Yes, that will be high risk and probably I feel stressful. But I believe I can do it!
