Communities I have benefited from - Nanako Komori

My club activity aim is to motivate high school students in provincial areas to go to university of Tokyo. In my university, many students are from Tokyo or other famous cities and the rate of students from provincial areas are low. To deal with this problem of education gap, my club do activities like telling our experiences of studies in high school days and why we wanted to enter this university to such students.

I was also from provincial area, so I joined this club. At first, I thought the activity was just only to tell my experience. But I felt I was given something important by high school students through the activity. From students, I remembered my ambition to enter the university in high school days. I always notice I am lucky to be able to learn in this university, like I dreamed in past.

If I had not joined this club, I might not have noticed it. I want to continue activities in the club and also study hard in the university.

  7. You belong to a really nice club.
At the same time, however, concentration of population in cities is a big problem today. Of course it is essential to close the education gap but I'm not sure how we can manage to balance the both issues.
