When I was sixteen, about one and a half years after I stopped playing football, I started track and field. I was looking for somewhere I could belong and get regular exercise. I really wanted to put a period to an inactive life. I had more energy than I knew what to do with. I already heard some of my friends participated in the club activity so asked one of them if I could join. They warmly welcomed me and I was soon integrated, feeling comfortable, and a sense of community. Training was for me something I could concentrate on. The dull days which I had been spending aimlessly came to an end. However, there is more to it than this. Club members were good diligent students as well as competitive runners. They would often work hard on their studies, which inspired me a lot. I gradually got to behave as they did without being aware of it. The most beneficial part of being a member of this community was I got to know many model students, or people, which formed my self-discipline. Without them, I would be a different person no one can ever imagine.
A community has an impact on building personality’ so you are lucky because you met very good people. I think the community which we belonged to when we was in high school was especially important in deciding the personality which will last long.
ReplyDeleteIt is important to find something to dedicate ourselves.
ReplyDeleteI want to find something like that.
I belonged to track and field team in my junior high school days, but other members were very competitive to be selected as a runner in a relay. I felt uncomfortable about that, so I really envy your good community.
ReplyDeleteI thought that the community gave you not only temporary benefit but also permanent influence in your life.
ReplyDeleteYou gradually got to behave as they did without being aware of it. I think it's really admirable thing! If we would like to be a good person, we should interact people who worth to respect, I think.
