A challenge that would stretch me - Nanako Komori

For me, it’s one of biggest challenge to perform in a local play. I’ve never tried such role in the school festivals, I only made something to use in a play or just watched.

This is because I am really shy. I feel nervous about talking in front of many people. I tend to forget what to say at such time. Also, I’m not good at singing. Playing as a performer is one of the things which I don’t want to do most.

But if I try to perform in it and the play succeed, I may feel confidence about speaking in front of many people. To succeed, it is important to practice much, and this practice will be able to stretch me as well as the performing. And finally, I want to overcome my shyness.

  1. I understand because I am poor at doing something in front of many people too. When you can even enjoy that tension, you will be stronger than now!

    1. Getting over it may be difficult, but it'll be a power in future if I try to overcome, I think.

  3. I am also shy so I really understand how you feel.
If I had to perform, I would run away from it.

  5. I sympathize with you. I'm not good at singing, either.
But when I was in high school, I challenged to play in front of many people in a class drama play. The experience made me stronger and less nervous when I stand in front of unknown people.
I hope you will overcome your shyness.

  7. I hope you take up this challenge. Remember you don't have to select a role with lots of lines, first up. Perhaps start with a minor role before taking on a main one.
