Facing new
challenges is always an excitation moment for me, mainly when they related to a
physical overcoming. Since I was a child, I always pushed myself into
different activities that required my body usage. Mixing power with balance in different
proportions to find the best performance in whatever I was intending to do.
Recently I
started running and walking in different track’s surfaces. Obviously, the New
Zealand’s nature helped me, giving me more inspiration while practicing, as I
was staring such beautiful spots and places.
My next challenge
will be the Routeburn Track. It has 39 km, and takes around 2-3 days to be
completed, going through the most diverse scenarios including forests,
mountains and lakes in the South Island.
I don’t
feel prepared to this track, not yet! I still need to face some obstacles, such
as a recent knee injury that is almost healed, but got me a little out of
shape, making me suffer much more with the physical wear and tear. But I’m
focused on accomplishing it. No pressure, but too much motivation!!

It is wonderful of you to push yourself into physical overcoming! After reading your sentences, I want to start walking!!
ReplyDeleteNice!! You will discover how powerful it is!
DeleteI totally agree with you. It seems the best way to enjoy NZ is just being in nature! I'm interested in Great walking courses too Especially Kepler Track. One of my wish lists is hiking all of the Great walking tracks. I hope we can do that before we leave NZ.
ReplyDeleteWoow, that's amazing!! How long will you be here for? Ask your host family if they can take you to the places, or at least help with some infos or friends that like walking, tracking hiking. Kiwis are very connected to outdoors sports, you will find some good companies, practice your English and body too!
DeleteWhat a great idea, walking the Routeburn! The scenery is fabulous and once your knee has healed, I am sure you'll be up to the challenge.
ReplyDeleteDavid :-)
Yeap! I really hope so! =D
