Tim Doner - Huiwon

I watched TED about "Breaking the language barrier"
The most interesting part of this video was he had posted his procedure of learning languages on
the YOUTUBE. Amazing! What happened after posting? Lots of native people commented on that
such as correcting his pronunciation and also he could make native friends easily and naturally!!

I always say that It’s hard to get a chance to talk with native speaker. But it’s not true. If I can
overcome my inner fear about making mistakes in English, I can get many chances everyday
everytime.

The biggest stuff that most students, including me, have to overcome might be fear in our deep mind.

  2. I am also amazed that he posted the videos in which he speaks in YouTube. I can’t do that because I will be embarrassed. But I know it is so helpful.

  5. You found awesome thing! But for me, uploading videos on You Tube seems to be dangerous. Not only fear about making mistakes in English, but also fear about using online service.

    1. I totally agree with your statement. Even though Social media is getting popularized, we always try not to expose our personal things.

  6. As you do, I have thought there is no opportunity to make friends with native speakers. But I realized that it depended on my effort  whether I could have the opportunities.

    1. Yeah, I agree with you. There are lots of programs in which you can get chances to talk with native speaker in the University. I hope you make a lot of experiences before you leave here.

  7. Interesting, Huiwon. Yes I suppose with the various social media sites that are available today there are many opportunities to engage with others in English. Perhaps one of the keys for doing so effectively is finding a topic you are passionate about and a forum in which that topic is discussed.
